Here is Gma's Eulogy...

Shirley Ackerfield (Schwartz) was born on May 19, 1923 to Aaron & Goldie Schwartz. She had one brother, Gene "Sonny" Schwartz, who is still her biggest champion.

Shirley met a wonderful man named Sidney and they were married and had 66 wonderful years together as each others best friends, confidants, and lovers before he passed away on January 25, 2003.

Out of that union were two children and four grandchildren...
Colby and Lyssa were the apples of her and Grandpa's eyes.

Lyssa married Gary and they have three children; Ethan, Shayla and Evan and live in Hawaii. Colby married Jennifer and they have twins, a boy named Connor and a girl named Jordan and they live in Colorado.

After Grandpa passed away, Gma came to live with Lyssa and her family in Hawaii. About a year after she arrival in Hawaii, she suffered a massive heart attack but survived. Almost 2.5 years has passed since that heart attack and yesterday, Wednesday, August 30, 2006, she is finally at rest with her true love again.

Although we hurt very much for her, she is no longer in any pain, she is no longer suffering, or sad, or missing those that have gone on before her. She is now at peace. She is where she belongs, beside her best friend and lover for all eternity.

Gma, we miss you already very much but we will, as you told me,
Always & Forever
Love You,

Gary Wallace
Lyssa Noël
Ethan Kali
Shayla KayAnne Noelani
Evan Kamalei

We would also like to say a very special and heartfelt thank you to a wonderful lady, Terry C*******. None of this would have been possible without her help over the past 14 months. She opened her home to us and took Gma into her home but more importantly, into her heart. She cared for her as she would her own mother or grandmother. It has been hard tiring work and it has made her now physically sick, but I hope that we now in return are able to help her. She will now fill this void for our children that Gma has left. We will not let this wonderful lady slip out of our lives and family. She is now a part of our Ohana! Terry, we love you and I hope you know that, and I hope that words can somehow convey all the love that we do feel for you. Mahalo Nui Loa for every thing you have done for Gma from day one on July 5, 2005 until yesterday August 30, 2006 when you told her you loved her and you were with her when she went to go be with Grandpa. We love you.
